    Welcome to Mrs. Alberque’s 6th grade English Language Arts class! I hope that you are ready for the exciting year ahead. Reading and writing are crucial life skills. In this class, we will work to continue to strengthen our skills as readers and writers. I also hope that by the end of the school year, you’ve found your next favorite book!

    GRADING

    • Major Assessments – 50%

    • Minor Assessments – 30%

    • Independent Work – 20%

    You can keep track of your own progress throughout the year and can monitor your current grade by periodically checking online through Genesis.
