Hi! I’m Janine Colasanto. I have been a Reading Specialist at Allenwood School for more than 10 years. I was driven to become a Reading Specialist after teaching 1st grade for 10 years. I noticed that I felt the most reward when a nonreader left my room at the end of the year eager to devour books. This feeling motivated me to pursue my Masters in Reading and now I am lucky to spend my days developing strategic lessons to guide students through the process of learning to read.
