Contemporary Living

Credits: 5  Grades 9,10  This course fulfills the graduation requirement for career education/practical arts.

Contemporary Living focuses on useful skills for today's teen living in contemporary society.  Students gain hands-on experience in the various areas of home and life skills.  This course serves as an introduction to the courses offered in the Family Life department. Topics covered include:  food preparation, nutrition, textile arts, clothing construction and child care.
