Dear First Grader and Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Welcome back! We would like to extend to you our warmest welcome into first grade. This is a very special year in your life and we are looking forward to making it an exciting one!  It is our goal to make the classroom a place where you will feel safe and eager to learn. We can’t wait to meet you!

Parent(s) and guardian(s), thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of being your child’s teachers this year.  As we begin a new school year, we want you to know that your child’s well-being will always be at the forefront of our minds.  We will care for your child like they are our own. 

To make sure your child is ready for first grade, please check the district website for the first grade supply list. Please send your child’s supplies to school in a large ziploc bag labeled with their name.  We will help your child sort through their supplies and will place them in their pencil case together.  Extra supplies will be kept in their ziploc bag to be used throughout the year.  

Lastly, we will be communicating through our teacher website and an app called SeeSaw this year. Directions for how to sign up for Seesaw will be sent home with your child the first weeks of school. Communication is the key to success!
