FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 11, 2025
Wall Township Public Schools is looking to fill one Board of Education vacancy. The appointed candidate will serve from the date of appointment, anticipated to be January 6, 2026, through the Board’s Reorganization Meeting in January 2027.
The vacancy is a result of Mr. James Brereton’s resignation from the Board. Mr. Brereton has served on the Board since January 2025; however, he has resigned due to personal reasons that preclude him from being able to devote the time necessary to effectively serve as a Board member.
Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest and a resume to Brian J. Smyth, Business Administrator/Board Secretary at bsmyth@wallpublicschools.org. Please use “Board Vacancy” in the subject line.
All materials are due no later than 12:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026. Interviews and the appointment will take place at the Board of Education Reorganization Meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
