Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG)

Wall Township is proud to announce the Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG). A SEPAG is a parent-driven group that gives parents the opportunity to have direct input on the policies, programs, and practices that impact services and support for their children. Please click the links below to read the minutes from our meetings. 

Wall SEPAG has a new Facebook page. The Wall SEPAG Facebook group provides a forum for dialogue on the topic of special education within the Wall Township community. We offer a supportive, informative, and encouraging environment to ask questions, voice concerns, and provide direct input regarding Special Services. You will also receive information about important announcements, group meetings, and seminars.

What is SEPAG?

A "Special Education Parent Advisory Group" (SEPAG) is a state-mandated district-level parent-driven group charges with providing input to the local school district on system-level challenges in special education and related services." - SPAN

Who Should Join?

Any Wall Township parent/guardian that has a child with an IEP or 504, is enrolled in the Wall Township school district, or home school district is in Wall Township but currently attends an out-of-district school. Parents are the core members of Wall SEPAG. Members may also include Child Study Team members and teachers.

Membership Benefits

  • Parents gain understanding of the Special Education process and district programs.

  • SEPAG provides tools and information for parents to be effective advocates for their children.
  • Building liaisons are parent volunteers who connect our school community, PTO boards, and SEPAG. They are available to all parents at the school to help answer questions about Special Education and provide insight on resources and support in the Wall school community.

    (This working is part of the F.A.S.T. (Families & School Together) grant program. Dinner will be served.
