Welcome to the West Belmar Gym!  My name is Garry Linstra This is my 26th year teaching in Wall Township and I have been teaching at West Belmar for 19 years.  Prior to West Belmar, I taught at  Allenwood and Wall High School.  

  * Please be sure to check your child's schedule for gym days and help them be prepared by wearing sneakers. SNEAKERS ARE MANDATORY!! 

   * Students have physical education class for 40 minutes a day three times a week.

Our mission in Physical Education is to empower all students to sustain regular, lifelong physical activity as a foundation for a healthy, productive and fulfilling life.  Physical Education is a sequential educational program. It is based on physical activities undertaken in an active, caring, supportive and nonthreatening atmosphere in which every student is challenged and experiences success. Students with disabilities are provided with a learning environment that is modified, when necessary, to allow for maximum participation. We are committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment in which all students achieve personal bests and success.  The goal of the program is to guide young lives towards healthy and active futures.
