Hey everyone! My name is Mr. Swayze and I am a Special Education teacher for grades 6, 7, 8. I have been teaching for 17 years in a variety of classroom settings and programs. Most of my experience has been at the middle school level. My goal is to make learning fun, while motivating students to take risks and always try their best. 

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my beautiful wife and two boys, Mikey and Nicholas. Both are very involved with sports. They play baseball, basketball, football, as well as golf, which keeps me busy throughout the year. I coach baseball and basketball and love to play golf when it is warm, and snowboard when it is cold. 

I am so excited about starting the new school year and meeting all my students and parents. This is going to be an amazing year and I can't wait to get started.
