I am so excited to be a part of your 8th grade journey! Readers are leaders, so there will be a big emphasis on independent reading in our class. With that being said, there will be choice in what you read as well, so come ready to share your interests, so we can find a book that is just right for you!
As always, major assessments are worth 50% of the grade, minor assessments are worth 30% of the grade and independent assignments, such as classwork and homework, are worth 20% of the grade. Students can keep an eye on their grades by accessing the Genesis Student Portal.
My extra help will be held every __________ in room 304. You must fill out the extra help sign up sheet in my classroom the day BEFORE extra help, so that I am prepared to assist you with whatever skill needs reinforcement.
